The Greene County wrestlers, including the junior varsity team, saw plenty of mat time last week, winning three duals and placing fifth at the Perry tournament on Saturday.
The Rams are scheduled to wrestled Tuesday at home and will wrestle Friday at Perry High School and on Saturday at Urbandale High School.
On Monday, Jan. 9, the junior varsity team traveled to Ogden, where Dakota Mobley and Bork Ersnes took first places in their weight classes, and Gabe Fincel and Zeke Binkley each took third.
JV 23 – Dakota Mobley won by fall over Carson Amsden 2:55; won by fall over Dax Frey 1:22; won by major decision over Ty Muhlbauer 9-0.
JV 26 – Gabe Fincel lost by fall to Chase Burnett 0:57; won by fall over Jesus Murillo 0:48; lost by fall to Cole Hemmingsen 1:21.
JV 30 – Zeke Binkley won by major decision over Maxwell Lehman 12-2; lost by decision to Lukas Schellenberg 3-0; lost by sudden victory to Lucas Parcel 8-3.
JV 61 – Bork Ersnes won by fall over Elijah Sanford 0:10; won by fall over Austin Degeneffe 1:15; won by fall over Cash Guyer 1:04.
The varsity team traveled to Perry on Tuesday, facing Coon Rapids-Bayard and Perry, winning over each team.
Against Coon Rapids-Bayard, the Rams took the dual 54-15. Gavyn Winters, Jacob Harmeyer, Crew Conner, Kale Petersen, McKinley Robbins, Brent Dennhardt, Jackson Turner, Gavin Scheuermann, Braeden Turner and Marcus Ball each picked up wins.

The Rams took part in the Perry tournament on Saturday, taking fifth place. Petersen and Robbins each took first place finishes in their classes, with Scheuermann placing second. Winters and Dennhardt finished third, Ersnes was sixth and Turner took eighth.
